Henry Park Playground

One of the good things here is there's a few playgrounds around the neighbourhood. For a kid like Indi, who's active and love to run around with lots of energy, going to a playground is a "must". Morning and afternoon, weather permit, he will be in the playground. That's the time for him to exercise, vent off all the frustration (don't you think being a toddler is frustrating?? wanting to say a lot of things, but still not able to communicate well...).

There's a park not far from our house that is built for older kids, lucky they have the see-saw and swing. After a few months 'playing' with the swing, Indi is now ready to get on the swing and loving every moment of it! Robert pushing Indi and Matea on the swing...

Spaghetti Face

There's a thing about kids and pastas. It's the same with Indi. He loves pasta, especially spaghetti bolognese.
So now he's at the age of 'independence'... wanting to eat on his own. Result... food everywhere, dirty clothes (most of his clothes has some kind of stain already)... but we said OK... it's good for him to learn all this things...

Wheels, Cars and Indi

Even though public transportation is (very) good in this city-state-island, we finally decided on buying a car. I can already think of places where driving the car will be more of a hassle - such as that shopping street, little "village" near our house. Driving the car to work is also not a good idea. Reason: parking fee is outrageous, parking space is limited.
So we will still be using our EZ link card for public transportation. Things to look forward to is to drive to the different parks and playground on week-ends, and more exploring of the city.

We went looking for a car a few week-end ago, and while we're chatting with the salesperson indi was busy climbing in and 'driving' the car. He just loves wheels and cars! What could possibly be in his mind? Is he thinking of following Schumacher footsteps?

More Pictures from Botanical Garden

It seems a waste to take pictures and not upload them. Here's some pictures from that day we went to botanical garden.

Kirsten minding the kids (and Blum).... she'll be a great kindergarten teacher!

Leo et Manuela...

Picture Of Me

Every now and then i'm lucky to be in a picture... like this one.

You think i've posted a wrong picture? :-) Nope... i'm being playful. If you look closer... look into Leo's eyes... you'll find a picture (or is it a glimpse) of me in his eye....

Original Sin

Last week Bobbie and Vivienne was here. Not on the same day, just the same week. Met up with both of them and ends up going to the same restaurant - Original Sin. It's a mediterranean - vegetarian restaurant, but certainly worth a visit by those who love good food. The food is good... (and i'm not a big fan of veggies!) - or to borrow Viv's comments: "the food is to die for! won't mind converting to a vegetarian if the food is from Original Sin". Both times i had a walnut cheesecake... and my oh my, it's delicious.

Here's a picture of Vivienne and Bobbie, taken at the farewell lunch at Elly's house.

More Pictures of Indi

Thursday, May 18 - went to the botanical gardens with Kirsten and kids and Manueala and kids... nice to see the kids running around, make new friends, fight, slide, cry, explore, dream... being kids!

I know indi's Nan asked for more pictures, so here's for you Nan & Ted... :-)

Another Birthday Party

It's the second birthday party for indi, Stephen's celebrating his 2nd birthday. Was a big party! A lot of people there (i think there are about 30-40 families?), not to mention kids... they have the bouncy castle (which indi doesn't like to play with), face painting, balloons, and lots to eat.

Left the house with Manuela and the kids, and took this picture of matea, indi, and leo while waiting for taxi...

Here's Indi the (suppose to be) tiger - which indi's dearest mama painted for him... and indi trying to get rid of joanna from the car....

More Pool Pictures

Saturday May 6 we invited some friends to hang out by the pool. Here's some of the pictures...

But still... not one single picture of me... :-(

In the Pool

Here's some pictures of indi in the pool... he's more confident when he's in the pool these days.

Elly's 2nd Trip

Elly was here for one night (May 5), she went to visit her doctor again. Here's the picture of Elly filling up all those GST's tax refund form... and Indi wanting to help... or is it grabbing the pen?

Sandals...

One day Indi decided to throw one of his sandal into the gutter. So for a few days he was running barefeet or using his shoes. When Elly was here (2nd time, just for one night that is), we went to taka, and i saw this blue 'bunny' sandal. Bought it for indi.
He loves the sandal so much that he still holds them in his hands when he took his nap on the couch.... zzzzzzzz

Leo's Birthday

It's the first birthday invitation for Indi here in this tiny island state. Leo's celebrating his second birthday, and it's Stephen's as well - so there was two birthday cake.
It's amazing how 6 kids are quiet during the party! Maybe because they're about the same age - the age of playing alone.

Friends

Here's some pictures of Indi's other friends...

Kisses

The pictures speak for itself... ah... young ones!

Indi - Another Afternoon

Indi is now in his 20th month, his gross motor skill is very good for his age. He loves climbing, swing, and especially if it's with Sarah...

Future Drink?

Playing with his drinks is one of indi's favorite thing to do. By the way, is he drinking what the sign is saying? Or is that his future drink? (to our dear friend from Heineken... just kidding ok?)

Father(s) and Son(s)

Last week-end was a long week-end. Didn't do much, except emptying more boxes. Had a great Sunday meeting up with friends. Thanks to Ruud & Kirsten for finding the place for us. I'd think we all had a great time...
It's nice to see fathers bond with their son

and someone else's son.....
